Whidbey Island Traditional Hatha Yoga Retreat

Samyak Yoga Seattle is hosting its third Northwest-style traditional Hatha Yoga retreat!

Please join us for an explorative and intimate weekend of yoga, meditation, music, and delicious food in a beautiful private retreat on Whidbey Island.

Teachers: Siri Larson, RYT and Jessica Frank, RYT

Location: A beautiful retreat space near the Whidbey Institute on south Whidbey Island

Dates: April 24th 6 pm to April 26th 2 pm

Cost: $250 (covers six healthy meals, two nights shared accommodation or camping, six yoga classes and access to beautiful natural facilities nearby.)

Sleeping: Participants will have the option to camp on the property or to sleep in the center itself. Some mats/cots can be provided, but most will have to bring their own bedding and mats. Meals: We will be preparing seasonal, healthy, organic vegetarian meals and snacks on site. Tea and coffee available all day.Yoga: We will be offering six Hatha classes over the weekend, with slight variations in style and a broad offering of modifications for different skill levels. Our classes place strong emphasis on pranayama (breathwork) and meditation in addition to asana (posture) practice. We'll throw in a little kirtan singing and partner yoga as well!

New Yogis are welcome, but those already practicing will not be bored! We want you to leave feeling relaxed, energized, and with a deeper understanding of holistic yoga and your own practice.

Karma Yoga: We'll be offering several spots at a reduced rate to individuals on a need-basis, in exchange for help with meal prep and clean-up. If the cost of the retreat is of concern, please do reach out and we'll do our best to make it work for you.

Additional details: We held a retreat at this location last spring and found it to be a incredible space for cultivating intimacy, self-reflection, and community. There are campsites and plenty of space in the center for participants to sleep. There are inside and outside showers, a garden, a nearby forest trail, and a fully-equipped kitchen which you will be free to use at any time. You are also welcome to stay off-site and pay a reduced cost for the retreat.
